A Glimpse of Osaka
Japan - Osaka
大阪
Mount Fuji
富士山
Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest mountain of 3,776m is also one of the country’s Three Holy Mountains, the other two being Mount Haku and Mount Tate.
Mount Fuji is actually a volcano that has not erupted for many years - last time it erupted 1707-08.
Bullet train (Shinkansen)
Taking a bullet train between Tokyo and Osaka is popular among tourists, especially during Spring (cherry blossom season). Towards Osaka, tourists are able to see Mount Fuji, given clear skies, sunny day. There will be an extra charge to people who book seats towards the window to see mount fuji.
The bullet train I took was called ‘Nozomi’. It is the fastest out of all the other bullet trains, taking around 2.5 hours one way.
Here’s a picture of Mount Fuji that I took during my trip to Japan.

Gudetama Cafe

Gudetama, Japan’s and possibly the world’s favourite lazy egg, has its own restaurant at Osaka! Although the food is not the best quality, it is worth taking a visit to the Gudetama cafe to have some laughs and fun times.
Here’s a picture of the carbonara pasta I ordered:

Dotonbori
道頓堀
Known as the ‘heart of Osaka’, dotonbori is not a place to miss when you visit Osaka. There are a lot of resturants, food and shopping there. It is especially beautiful to walk around at night where there are thousands of light up billboards and signs all around the city.
When you visit Dotonbori, don’t forget to try out Uncle Rikuro’s famous Cheesecakes! They are very light, fluffy and delicious, with a light sprinkle of raisins lined at the bottom. The price is quite cheap ($7.50 AUD) compared to western cheesecakes.
Bonus - Spider-Man Bun at Universal Studios!
