Things to do at Tokyo!

Japan - Tokyo 東京 Picture taken by Rachael Ong The capital city of Japan - Tokyo is an enormous bustling city made up of 23 wards. There are numerous tourist attractions in the city alone. This blog will focus on some of these attractions. Senso-ji  浅草寺 Picture taken by Rachael Ong Senso-ji is Japan’s Buddhist temple and it is the oldest temples constructed in Japan (completed in the year 628). It is built to show the Buddhist goddess of Mercy, Guanyin. During Spring, Tokyo’s most popular festival Sanja Matsuri (3 Shrine Festival)  is celebrated here. Lots of parades, music and dancing. Behind the temple you can find a street called Nakamise dori ((仲見世通り) filled with small shops selling food and sourvenirs. Here is a picture of a small but delicious warm snack I bought from one of the shops behind the temple. Picture taken by Rachael Ong SEGA arcade Picture taken from: https://livejapan.c...
